Your work-life balance

At Monster, we want work to be a rewarding and fulfilling part of your day, not something that has grown to take over your entire life. That’s why we go to great lengths to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

Flexibility
We understand that employees have a life outside of work. Workplace flexibility empowers employees with manager approval to set hours that balance the needs of the employee and the business.

Paid Time Off
Monster recognizes the importance of having time away from work. Because of that, we offer a Paid Time Off (PTO) policy in lieu of traditional vacation time, sick time and floating holiday banks.

PTO provides a more flexible approach to taking time away from work. PTO days are intended to be used for vacation time, sick days, religious observance, parent-teacher conferences, educational advancement of one’s child/children or other back-to-school activities, birthdays, doctors’ appointments, floating holidays or for other personal reasons. Employees have the opportunity to accrue up to 21 PTO days during their first year of employment.

In addition Monster offers 9 company-paid holidays over a 12 month period. This equals a total of 29 paid days off during the first year of employment.

LifeBalance
LifeBalance is a comprehensive resource to help you face life’s everyday challenges. The program offers confidential short-term counseling for personal concerns such as stress management, grief or loss, domestic violence, depression, or relationship and family issues. In addition, employees use this benefit to obtain confidential resources and referral services on a variety of issues such as financial and legal advisors, choosing child care, care of older relatives, adoption assistance, parenting skills, education and much more. Professional counselors can be reached 24 hours a day by calling a toll-free number.

Adoption Assistance Benefit
Monster provides eligible employees with a lifetime benefit of up to $3,500 to help pay for expenses related to adopting a child. These include adoption agency fees, legal fees and court costs, required medical expenses for the child prior to adoption, immigration fees, translation services and transportation and lodging expenses associated with the adoption.
