As a global market leader and the world’s #1 career site, Monster is driving success in the new economy. By combining extraordinary ideas with passionate innovation, Monster is bringing people together to advance their lives.

Where do our leaders come from? We grow our own. Monster’s MBA Executive Development and Leadership (MEDAL) program is our training ground for developing future leaders within the Monster organization.

Get on the fast track to success
This fast-track, 36-month program of training and rotational assignments prepares participants for a general management role at Monster through broad business exposure and cross-divisional responsibility in key functional areas.

You’ll engage in three 12-month developmental assignments with an operational or project-oriented focus. Working under the guidance of a senior-level mentor, you’ll get direct technical, strategic and operational experience.

Finally -- an MBA general management rotational program at a fun, mid-sized market leader!

“It's a special opportunity -- to be exposed to different people and work processes, to familiarize yourself with multiple facets of the business, to have the support of fellow MEDAL associates and program leaders. Being part of the MEDAL program has been one of the great breaks of my career.”

Thad Peterson, MEDAL Associate, Babson MBA

Your year-long rotations could be in any of the following areas:

  • Finance
  • Technology
  • Sales/Sales Operations
  • Marketing
  • Product
  • Business Development
  • Customer Support
  • Human Resources

As a general manager at Monster, you’ll need to know how different parts of our company fit together. Get ready for variety. We’ll push you out of your comfort zone, and you’ll develop a holistic understanding of the interplay of departments within an S&P 500 company.

Examples of Developmental Assignments:

  • Lead a cross-functional project team
  • Provide an analysis of a business problem and make recommendations
  • Identify best practices and implement them
  • Analyze a business process and institute process improvements
  • Create a strategy
  • Manage key client relationships
  • Manage a P&L

High Level Exposure – With access to Monster’s top executives, you’ll work hand in hand with vice presidents and other senior managers to sharpen your skills, solve complex problems and develop business strategy.

Hands-On Experience – General Managers understand how the pieces fit together, because they’ve touched the pieces themselves. Variety will give you perspective. Don’t expect to keep you sleeves down!

Professional Growth – Monster’s rapid growth as a firm translates into growth for its employees -- and its leaders. During your MEDAL rotations, you could find yourself becoming an acting Vice President, recommending Monster’s next country of operation, or managing the business operations of an entire department.

Executive Mentoring – Monster executives build one on one relationships with each MEDAL participant. Through each rotation, you’ll get coaching, insight and frank feedback as you tackle new challenges.

Roundtable Discussions – Though monthly “Power Hour” meetings, you’ll meet Monster’s key decision makers, share perspectives with your peers and look deep into how Monster can get to the next level.

At program completion, you’ll work with Human Resources and your executive mentors to find the role for you. Most starting positions are senior level with management responsibilities.

The MEDAL program at Monster has afforded me the opportunity to interface -- on a daily basis -- with senior leadership and contribute my ideas to the decision makers of the Company.
