Whether volunteering time, supporting innovative programs or providing public services, Monster believes it has a social responsibility to contribute to the community. As the industry leader in human capital management, we believe it is extremely important to use our energies and our resources both for the benefit of our company as well as for the good of society.
Part of our corporate strategy is to “go global, be local, get personal”. This is more than a corporate strategy designed to delight our customers, it is also a promise to be a good neighbor in all communities where our employees live, work and do business. This is why we involve ourselves in a wide variety of community relations activities, both on a local and company-wide level, sponsoring everything from local foundations to large non-profit organizations such as the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Junior Achievement and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.
Donating money, time and effort Through our "Helping Hands" volunteer recognition program, we encourage our employees' commitment to their community by supporting causes close to their hearts. To help these causes and to fulfill the desires our employees, we also provide 16 hours of additional paid time off each year, strictly for volunteer purposes. In addition, we donated significant amounts of money to various disaster relief funds in the aftermath of the Tsunami and September 11th tragedies, and we built the website for the Families of Freedom Scholarship fund, which was created to raise funds for the educational assistance for the children and spouses of those killed in the attacks. The fund helped raise more than $105 million.
